 The websites I have used show very little information on teacher information. I did not see any teacher pages on these websites. They just have the contact information. In college, I feel like it is easier to find information on a class or the substance in this class. The information given to the public contains school accolades and also includes clubs along with other information about the school. The point of a school's website is to make this easier for parents to access information on the school. Godby HS Home

I think technology will be important for the classroom and especially mine. I was taught in a technology-rich classroom and I will use it to my advantage. I will use devices to make learning easier by using smart boards and the newest interactive software to create fluidity in my classroom. I would make my notes easy to access. I would want kids to have access to a calendar that has all of my information to make learning and planning easier for them. 

I really did not like PBWorks and working on a wiki. I felt like PBWorks was not easy to work with. The website did not allow for collaborative work. The making of the wiki did not seem worthwhile. A wiki is great for accessing easy basic information and I would recommend my students use that for getting information on basic areas of need. I would not shy my students away from using wikis but now I have a newfound appreciation for them.

    Hi JP! I know some schools require that all teachers have their own websites, while others let it be optional. Maybe the latter was the case for the school websites you found. Having a digital calendar for students to access sounds like a great idea, since it couldn’t be misplaced like a paper calendar and it would be easy to update!

 This transition to online distance learning has been really difficult for me. The thing I like is how I do not have to commute for classes. I would not make the walk on campus between classes. I have multiple classes where there I would be late to class if I had to walk around campus. I do not like distance learning because there is a lack of human interaction on Zoom. As a teacher, I would definitely make my class start off on the Zoom by introducing and talking about a topic.  Open educational resources are tools that educators use to help show off. This link I attached goes over different organizational tools that can be inputed into lessons. I think it is important to open up the amount of varying resources in the classroom.  The PowerPoint assignments helped me reignite the skills I have with using PowerPoint. Blog Journal 10

 Data collection and surveys are important to understand what statistics show. I have seen teachers use this as a way of surveying the student's opinions. In High School Education there can be good ways of grading by using a rubric format as surveys. Asking students to rate a presentation and other things can help innovate the classroom and engage students.  I think it is very interesting to see the intentions of others in this class. I find the innovation of teaching special needs and younger students interesting because I do not deal with such things. As being a teacher interested in older grades, I think it is refreshing to read and understand other opinions and innovations.  The technology skill I want to know next would be maybe coding.
