JP's Technological Advancement

 Web Design unlocked new ideas for me and how I can apply them to educational technology. This assignment made me use education weebly. This made me more familiar with this kind of educational technology tool. What I did like was trying to figure out what was important for this website. I did not like how to go through and finding links to relate.  Diigo made the transitions and editing of websites very easy. I enjoyed added notes and comments to web pages. This tool would be very useful for taking notes on PDFs or journals. I liked how you can interact with comments where others can see. This can be used well for group assignments of important information.  Innovation in the classroom keeps things fluent and fresh in the classroom. New ways of using technology in the class make it more fun and should make it easier for the kids.  The websites I have used show very little information on teacher information. I did not see any teacher pages on these websites. They just have the contact information. In college, I feel like it is easier to find information on a class or the substance in this class. The information given to the public contains school accolades and also includes clubs along with other information about the school. The point of a school's website is to make this easier for parents to access information on the school.  Godby HS Home I think technology will be important for the classroom and especially mine.  My experience while using Diigo was fairly simple once I followed the instructions again. I had to rewatch the lesson and video to understand how to use the software. I did not think it was easy to add sticky notes to items and make adjustments. I did think that posting the URL to the site and tagging was a super easy part of the process. I did find it difficult to be accepted into the Diigo group.  `I like blogging so far in my experiences. I think it is good to reflect on your coursework and topics that go on in the class. I do like how blogging gives freedom to writers and students to express how they feel. I wish that the blogs would give us more opportunities to write about stuff that is important to us. I have learned how to be a better student and differing opinions on the class from other students. With online learning, it is hard to connect and understand how other students are feeling but the blogs give insight to that.  I really do believe I will use the snaps...

 Twitter is my favorite way to et new information or topics. I have been interacting with the technology chat. I have asked teachers in this chat, how they feel about online teaching. Twitter is helpful to communicate with other teachers about questions or concerns they are dealing with. I can understand that you need opinions from other teachers that are not necessarily from your area, Twitter can connect you with people from all over.  The digital divide is where people who do and do not have access to computers and the Internet. The digital divide hurts lower-income students that do not have access to those things. With the movement to online learning, this puts kids at a disadvantage. Social classes can affect the digital divide. As a classroom teacher, you can see kids falling behind because of this. Learning online relies on access to wifi and computers, I would do my best as a teacher to not need the students to rely on the internet for the completion of their work....
